Sunday 4th September saw us put on a Tea and Gardens event. The gardens being those of the Grange and afternoon tea in the Village Hall. We were very grateful indeed to Elaine Murphy for opening the Gardens and all had a fascinating walk around with Elaine on hand to discuss her plans for its’ development. Garry conducted hugely informative tours describing the current plantings and of course his take on the garden’s development.
On completion of the garden tours afternoon tea was served in the Village Hall. Put together by the PCC a huge array of cakes and goodies awaited and we were delighted to welcome over 60 who all enjoyed a well-nourished mardle and catch up with friends.
As always these events do not run themselves. A big thank you must go to Chris and Linda who masterminded the tea in the village Hall, the PCC who put together all the cakes and sandwiches and Mary, Gary and Fred who ran the Garden visit. Of course and most importantly, Elaine Murphy who so kindly opened her garden for us.
Next month, October will see our Harvest Service on the 9th at 4.00pm which will be preceded the day before on Saturday 3 October by a Messy Church in the Village Hall masterminded by Mary to which both children and parents are warmly welcomed.
